Below are some interesting security tips you may not have thought of, as well as a listing of security items we sell:
1.The next time you order checks, omit your first name and have only your initials and last name put on them. If someone takes your checkbook they will not know if you sign your checks with just your initials or your first name but your bank will know how you sign your checks. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put "PHOTO ID REQUIRED."
2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card Accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.
3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home Phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks.You can add it if it is necessary. But if you have It printed, anyone can get it.
4. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to Call and cancel. Keep the photocopy in a safe place. I also carry a Photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We've all heard horror stories about fraud that's committed on us in stealing a Name, address, Social Security number, credit cards. My friends wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieve(s) ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change his driving record information on line, and more. But here's some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know:
5. We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card Numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.
6. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc., were stolen. This proves to credit Providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an Investigation (if there ever is one). 7. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations Immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over The Internet in my name. The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by Phone to authorize new credit.

Remote Control / Wireless Ceiling Alarm. This alarm mounts to the ceiling where it can detect motion within 360 degree circle up to 20 feet away If motion is detected the unit will emit a 110dB alarm or 90dB chime. When the alarm is activated by motion after the entry delay the alarm will sound for 1 minute if no further motion is detected. This unit includes an remote controls that operate up to 25' away from the alarm. It has a 30-45 second exit delay and a 10 second entry delay. It operates on 3 "C" batteries which are not included. It can "guard" your home or office seven days a week, 24 hours a day. If an intruder is detected within its large detection area (20 ft long by 90 degress) it will sound a powerful 125 decibel to scare away the would-be intruder and alert those inside to the attempted entry (the alarm feature can be disabled if you prefer a silent alarm). Up to three phone numbers are automatically dialed and your pre-recorded message (up to six seconds long) is played. You could program it to call your neighbor, the police, and your cell phone and play a message like, "this is John Doe, an intruder has been detected in my home located at 123 Maple St.." Wireless Motion Detector with remote. The Wireless Motion Detector with remote can be used as a portable alarm or be wall mounted. It can detect motion over an area of 30 feet by 110 degrees. The unit has a 45 second exit delay and a 10-15 second entry delay. This alarm is activated by the PIR sensor. The unit also uses magnetic sensors with 6 feet of wire to detect the opening of a protected door or window. The HS4340D also has a low battery indicator. The alarm is 120 dB; the chime is 85 dB. This alarm measures 4 1/2" x 3" x 1 3/4". The unit's power supply is 3 AA batteries which are not included. Also, an 7.5-15 volt adapter can be used (not included). Strobe Wireless Security System. The Strobe Security System is a complete wireless security system for your home or office that you can install in only minutes. This system provides you and your family with the same security and peace of mind found in professionally installed security systems but at a fraction of the cost. It guards your home or office using a motion sensor and two other devices that can alert you if a protected window or sliding glass door is opened or broken. The motion detector can detect motion from up to 30 feet away. If not disarmed by the owner using one of the two included remote controls, it will respond with an ear piercing alarm and flashing light. The flashing light is built-in to the top of the motion detector and has a switch on the side that can be used to keep the light on continuously for emergency lighting during a power outage. Streetwise Personal/Door Alarm w/ Light. This personal alarm combines two great deterrents to attack- a loud alarm and flashing light. It looks like an ordinary pager and attaches to a belt or purse for easy accessibility. There are many different ways this alarm can be used:
1) Personal Alarm- you can carry it in a purse or pocket or attach it to your belt using the clip on the back of the alarm. In an emergency pulling the cord will activate the 130 DB alarm and flashing light. The alarm and light will draw attention to the situation, scare off a would-be attacker, and summon help.

Safety Beam. You can know when someone " crosses the line". This high tech device creates an invisible infrared beam up to 60 ft. long. Motion Activated Alarm and Chime. This device is both an ear piercing security alarm and a pleasant entry announcer. It employs the latest technology to prevent the chime from continually sounding once it has been activated. A common problem with other door chimes is that they will continually sound as long as someone is standing in the detection area. Obviously this can be very annoying in a home or business. This is the first device we have seen that solves this problem. It does so by automatically disabling the chime for about five seconds after it sounds. Once no further movement is detected it resets itself. This allows someone to enter a store (for example) and remain within the detection area for as long as they wish and the chime will only sound one time. Once that person has left the detection area for five seconds, the next person entering will again activate the chime.
